Liz Conway’s new album Perspectives was written over the past 10 years and reflects different seasons of life. Her already released singles Beyond the Moon and Unicorns were written for her young children, and her other tracks will take you on a journey through the complexity and joy that different seasons of life bring.

In addition to the new album, the audience will also be treated to the stunning astrophotography film, rangi takō | clear skies, with Liz performing her live piano soundtrack. The short film (15min) showcases the beautiful southern night sky in time-lapse photography and was co-directed by Liz with Andy Davey from Winterstellar Charitable Trust.

Perspectives will be released on the 1st of September on Bandcamp.

You can find her already released music on all streaming platforms and can purchase through Bandcamp.

Whisper.

I’ve had a lot of fun recording this song. I’ve played around with layering vocals and using ambient synth sounds to create a sense of space in quite a powerful introspective song. This single has felt quite experimental and is certainly a different vibe from my piano solo tracks I’ve been releasing the last few years.

rangi takō | clear skies.

A beautiful 15 minute short film combining an original piano solo piece that dances along with Southern New Zealand’s night sky.

Recording.

I love creating. Some creations are worth sharing. I record from home in my own time (which isn’t very fast). I think my songs speak to people, so it’s nice to be able to share them. Feel free to enjoy them for yourself.

Songwriting.

My songs are a journey. A thought. A feeling. An experience. Sometimes they just arrive. Other times they sit and wait for a long time. At times they are crafted into something I’d like to share. Other times they speak to me and remind me of what has been. I think they’re getting better with age.

Performance.

I love the connection that’s created when music is shared in real time. Please get in touch if you wish to make a booking for live music.
